The choir has been active at Křenová Gymnasium in Brno for over 50 years, with the last six years under the leadership of Mgr. Veronika Waldhansová. It is a non-selective ensemble, bringing together all those willing to dedicate their free time to meaningful work and personal growth within a community of students from all grades. The word about the welcoming atmosphere spreads quickly, and we are now one of the largest high school choirs in the Czech Republic (if not the largest – at the beginning of the year, we had 104 singers!). The biggest challenge is maintaining artistic quality despite the choir's lineup changing every six months. We manage this not only thanks to the dedication of individual members but also through the friendships that unite the singers and motivate them to meet beyond the regular Tuesday rehearsals. Our hard work is evident not only in the gold and silver awards from competitions but, most importantly, in the incredible atmosphere of our Christmas and spring concerts. A chamber group that is not restricted by the July schedule is going to Bratislava to perform. Only girls will be singing, but the support of our male members will surely be felt.
