The Leo Fortis Trebnje Mixed Choir is an active Slovenian ensemble, founded in the 2018/2019 season. The choir performs regularly at concerts and cultural events both in Slovenia and abroad, presenting a repertoire that spans classical, sacred, folk, and contemporary choral music. In 2022, it won a gold medal and the overall prize at the Zlatna Lipa Tuhlja International Competition, and in the same year reached the finals of the national Sozvočenja choral competition. The choir collaborates with various cultural institutions and takes part in numerous festivals and workshops. It is conducted by Gregor Klančič.
Gregor Klančič studied music in Nova Gorica and graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana with degrees in music pedagogy and church music. He was a long-standing member and assistant conductor of the Slovenian Chamber Choir and later served as artistic director of the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir. As an organist and conductor, he is a respected and internationally active figure in Slovenian choral and church music.
