Ernesto Coelho commenced his musical education at the Vilar do Paraíso Music Academy, where he successfully completed the complementary Piano course. Subsequently, he pursued advanced studies, attending the Composition course at the Superior School of Music and Performing Arts in Porto. He furthered his qualifications by completing the University Conducting course at the Conservatório Superior de Música de Gaia. Furthermore, he holds a Master's degree in Music Theater Studies from the University of Sheffield and a postgraduate degree in cultural management from Lusófona University. Professionally, he has conducted operettas with the Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras and has directed various amateur and school choral ensembles for different associations. He has also instructed choir classes at ACE – Academia Contemporânea de Espectáculo. Presently, he serves as the conductor for the Choir of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Póvoa de Lanhoso and for the Classical Orchestra of the Academy of Music of Vilar do Paraíso. He is the founder and manager of Hymnus, his creative artistic productions company, and holds the position of artistic director for the professional choir Coro Génesis.
