City Tamburitza Orchestra Križevci

The City Tamburitza Orchestra Križevci was founded at the end of 2020 at the initiative of former tamburitza students at the Albert Štriga Music School Križevci. The orchestra has a total of 70 members, of which 30 are permanent players. Members of the orchestra are experienced and graduate musicians, professors at music academies and music schools, and students at music academies. Orchestra won Grand prix (96,67 points) and the Award of the Croatian Composers' Society at National Festival of Tamburitza Orchestras and Ensembles 2021. and Grand prix (99,00 points) and the plaque of the Croatian Composers' Society at International Festival of Artistic Tamburitza Music 2022.

Igor Kudeljnjak

The conductor and head of the orchestra is Igor Kudeljnjak, experienced head of tamburitza ensembles, music educator and longtime member of the Croatian radio television Tamburitza Orchestra. He is also the head of the Tamburitza Orchestra of the Albert Štriga Music School Križevci, which during its existence has won about 20 international and 60 national awards and recognitions at the biggest festivals in Croatia and around the world, from which all members of the newly established orchestra emerged.
