Kaohsiung Feng Yuan Choir

Taiwan

The name of Kaohsiung Feng Yuan Choir originated from the members cherishing to meet each other, hence the name. The members are mainly alumni, dependents and acquaintances of Fengjia University in Kaohsiung and Pingtung District of Taiwan, all of whom love music and singing, with senior musician Chang Yu-Chien as the head and artistic director, Ms. Liu Zhen-Hui as the administrative director, Mr. Zhang Zhi-Zhe as the consultant. The purpose of the establishment of the choir is to provide people who are interested in singing, a place to integrate music into their lives, improve themselves and be friendly to society in their leisure time. Sing good songs, make good voices, experience and share "beautiful human voices" in choral music. Welcome friends who are interested in choral singing to join us, spread the beautiful singing to all corners, and work together to enhance the artistic and cultural atmosphere of Kaohsiung City of Taiwan.

Chang Yu-Chien

Chang Yu-Chien has graduated from the Music Department of Chinese Culture University. After graduation, she was mainly engaged in teaching. From 1988 to 2007, she taught music classes in the elementary schools, the middle schools and the high schools in Gaoping area focusing mainly on the dulcimer and the piano. In addition to teaching, she also devotes herself to the study of children's music education, which is well received. She is often invited to give speeches or interviews. Apart from teaching, she has also spared no effort in the music cooperation activities and has received high praise, including leading a delegation to the UK to perform in a chorus at the British Museum in 2015. In recent years, she has been actively engaging in chorus guidance. She used to be the instructor and the conductor of Kaohsiung City Nanxing Rotary Club Chorus. She is currently the head and the conductor of Kaohsiung Fengyuan Choir and often leads the choir to perform upon invitation.
