Mixed Youth Choir of Škofja Loka Grammar School

The Mixed Youth Choir of Škofja Loka Grammar School has been active since the school year 2006/2007. Under the leadership of conductor Žiga Kert, who has been with the choir for the past twelve years, they have become a prominent fixture in the local and international choir scene. Each year, the choir presents two standalone thematic concerts in Škofja Loka and actively participates in various cultural events in collaboration with the Municipality. They consistently engage in local and regional choir meets and competitions, including Sozvočenja 2015, the international competition in Bratislava 2015, and the international competition Young Bohemia in Prague 2017, among others. The choir has achieved significant recognition and numerous awards in all competitions they have participated in. Additionally, they have established successful collaborations with partner schools beyond Slovenia's borders, including those in Trieste, Freising, Spittal, Judenburg, and Roskilde in Denmark.
