New World Singers of the Columbus Children's Choir

Praised as “rare, radiant, and beautiful” by composer Nick Page and led by artistic director Jeanne Wohlgamuth, the New World Singers of Columbus Children’s Choir are no strangers to the public arena. They hold numerous competition titles, including Grand Prizes at the Rimini International Choral Festival (2021) and the Youth International Choral Competition (2023, 2024), winner of The American Prize in Choral Performance, youth choir division (2010, 2019, 2021), and the Diamond Prize at the Royale Music Competition (2023). They have captivated audiences internationally in Austria, Germany, Spain, France, and Hungary, sharing stages with the Vienna Boys’ Choir and headlining the Granada International Music and Dance Festival. They have had the honor of performing in national venues, including the White House and three solo performances at Carnegie Hall 2018, 2022, 2026.
Jeanne Wohlgamuth

Jeanne Wohlgamuth has been a passionate advocate for children’s music education for over four decades. As Artistic Director of Columbus Children’s Choir since 2012, she has led six national and international tours, eleven competition victories, and a performance with the Vienna Boys’ Choir. A celebrated conductor, she has received numerous awards, including the Professor Veneta Vicheva Conductor’s Mastery Award (2021), Best Conductor Award (2021), and National Teacher of the Year from OAKE (2020). In 2023, she led a choral residency at Carnegie Hall and will return in 2026 to conduct Missa Romantica. Additional accolades include multiple Teacher of the Year Awards, the Golden Shamrock Award for Educational Excellence, and induction into the Dublin Jerome High School Hall of Fame.She currently serves as President of the Ohio Choral Directors Association and is a sought- after clinician for national and state honor choirs.
